This is for a Typography project. We had to take a font, and make a poster for it, without using graphics and that sort of thing. This isn’t finished. Given the font, I wanted to make it sort of minimal, and kind of similar to the Swiss Style. I thought it was okay up until the point that I added the extra characters, which were part of the assignment. I’ll have to work with that. Any suggestions?

  1. clock answered: use the extra characters as a background kind of thing, and make them opaque so its not really in the way :P

i think we do this project at some point in block. well, they’ve done it in the past, at least. i hope we do it!
  3. jennyleighb answered: This is gorgeous. Why don’t you put the numbers in the top red stripe and the alternative characters in the second red stripe?

  5. zombiesareafterme answered: i like it but maybe you can make the extra characters parallel to the font name and make it even smaller and a bit transparent.
  6. chazhuttonsfsm answered: check out the constructavists (if you haven’t already) I think you need a curve in there somewhere.

  8. lay-uh answered: i’d make all the text a little smaller. everything seems huge.
  9. shizzledizzle answered: if u don’t need to use all the characters mabey u could use the harder eged ones instead of the hard lines or make them out of the negative
  10. malcolmo77 answered: Try the characters at the 45º angle maybe…

  12. greatwhiteshark answered: Could you make the extra characters really light gray/red and have them in the background? Sort of like a Louis Vuitton purse, but better.
  13. rachelaust answered: I think it looks good, but maybe put the extra characters on the red lines at a lower opacity? Dunnoooo
